Uzbekistan to increase polyethylene production by 4 times by 2020

Plastex Uzbekistan 2018 — a leading industry exhibition in Uzbekistan, will be held from 3rd to 5th of October in NEC “Uzexpocentre”, reports UzDaily. 70 exhibitors from 10 countries will take part in the 9th international exhibition. More than 3 thousand specialists are expected to attend the event.

According to the Ministry of economy of Uzbekistan by 2020 will increase polyethylene production by 4.1 times — from 125 thousand tons in 2015 to 512 thousand tons in 2019. Such volumes will be achieved through the commissioning of the Ustyurt gas chemical complex (GHK).

This year, the first 66 thousand tons of polypropylene will be produced. In 2019, the production of advanced polymer will reach the design capacity of 83 thousand tons.

Companies from Italy, Germany, Austria, India, China, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as manufacturers and suppliers from Uzbekistan, are waiting for a meeting with industry professionals in early October during the days of Plastex Uzbekistan.

The organizer of the exhibition is the international exhibition company Iteca Exhibitions, with the support of JSC “Uzkimesanoat”.
