Production of plastic packaging for the food industry has doubled in the Volgograd region

As specified in the Department, in the six months of this year in the region by 57% increased production of pipes for oil and gas production; almost three times — the production of radiators, more than twice — multi-layer polymer packaging for food, medicines, household chemicals and personal hygiene. Production of tires for agricultural and cargo vehicles increased by another 8.5%, and rolled products with protective coatings increased by 5.1%. The chemical complex of the region continues to be the leader in terms of the volume of imported import — substituting products-it accounts for about 55%.

The Committee of industry and trade of the Volgograd region actively cooperates with the Volgograd state technological University in the work aimed at the development of production of new types of products in demand in the Russian Federation and abroad. So, today the enterprises are considering the possibility of implementing projects in the field of 3D printing; production of special seals for the isolation of wells; systems for determining driver fatigue.

To expand production, search for new business partners and markets, state support is provided to enterprises, including through their participation in major exhibition events, the Department notes. So, today, with the assistance of the regional Committee of industry and trade, a delegation from the industrial complex is being formed — from 11 to 13 September 2018, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia, an international specialized exhibition “import Substitution”will be held in Moscow. Since 2015, it has been visited by more than 20 enterprises in the region.
