“SIBUR Khimprom has completed the installation of two reactors at the DOT production facility under construction
The Perm SIBUR completed the installation of two reactors under construction production dioctylphthalate (DOTP), reports a press-service “SIBUR-Khimprom”. DOTF is one of the key components of flooring and roofing, Wallpaper, cable plastics and other products of the construction industry. Products using DOTF have increased strength and wear and frost resistance. In addition, dotf is a phthalate — free plasticizer, so solutions based on IT meet the highest environmental requirements. Production of DOTF will be provided by SIBUR’s raw materials and will be the next redistribution in the value chain. The deficit of the market of basic plasticizers in Russia is about 60 thousand tons per year and is replaced by supplies from Europe. The project for the production of DOTF at the Perm site of SIBUR will largely replace the import of analog products and start supplying plasticizers to export markets, where demand for DOTF is also actively growing.
Within the framework of the project, a license agreement was concluded with the Korean company Aekyung. Development of Design and Working documentation shall NIPIGAS is a leading centre for the management of design, supply, logistics and construction.
In July-August, the main technological equipment is being installed. Two reactors out of four planned are installed in the design position. The factory was organized by JSC “Uralkhimmash” (Ekaterinburg). In addition, the installed column washing, and column purification DOTF, the column purification of 2-ethylhexanol. Also works on Assembly of the furnace of heating of the heat carrier, works on Assembly of silos of storage of terephthalic acid of the Korean supplier of the DYK YOUNG ENGINEERING company are conducted. In the commodity Park of storage and shipment of DOTF 3 tanks of 1000 m3 are mounted, works on installation of isolation on them are conducted. The main part of the equipment is made by Russian companies.
Construction and installation works are carried out by Perm contractors GSI-Permneftegazstroy (General contractor for construction) and RSP Alexy. The actual progress of construction and installation works at the facility is about 65 %.
The aim of the Perm site team is to complete the complex of construction and installation works and the transition to commissioning from December 2018. The launch of the new production is scheduled for the first half of 2019.
