The Sakhalin region offered investors in South Korea business projects including the polymer industry, the regional media reported. The ideas were presented at the first Russian-Korean forum of interregional cooperation, held in the city of Pohang.

Thus, the research and production company “mercury Polymer” offers to supply polymer raw materials in granules, from which it is possible to melt polyethylene. The Krasnogorsk Zaimka company is ready to buy food containers for its ready meals in South Korea.

According to the Minister of economic development of the region Alexei Uspensky, the regime of the free port of Vladivostok — Korsakov opens up a large scope for investment for Korean investors.

Separately at the forum in Pohang stressed that investors can get state support from the authorities. The regional development Corporation offers loans to entrepreneurs on preferential terms. And the Sakhalin Agency for investment attraction conducts complex support of projects.
