NKNKh has developed new types of rubber to improve tire

The specialists of PJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” (NKNKh) has developed new types of rubbers improve the characteristics of the tires, writes the national media. Deputy chief technologist of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Alexander Shalfeev announced information about promising developments for the tire industry at the last conference “Petrochemistry of Tatarstan: science, innovation, production” within the framework of the Tatarstan petrochemical forum.

According to him, new types of rubbers — DSSK 621 and DSK 628 — improve rolling resistance and grip of the tire with a wet coating. So far, these brands have been obtained at the experimental facility and are available for testing.

Sage assured that the tires of the new types of rubber will not be inferior, and in some respects will even surpass one of the leaders of the tire industry.

In total, according to the company, in 2017, NKNH produced 711 thousand tons of rubbers (growth by 2010 amounted to 43%).
