Artificial intelligence can help chemists obtain new polymer materials

“The technology, which the press called a “robot chemist”, is a hardware-software complex based on neural networks and a small chemical laboratory. Thus, the robot can directly control chemical reactions and analyze their results,” the developers of the innovative technology say.

The robot chemist has already helped scientists to find a number of previously unknown reactions-an impressive result was achieved only on the basis of training of artificial intelligence.

“This technology, as well as the developments based on it, is the key to a future in which robots will create new polymer materials and medical products with the desired properties for us,” the scientists note.
