Iran will be able to export ethylene in the near future
A senior Iranian official from the petrochemical sector said that the country is going to join the club of ethylene exporters in the near future, writes iran.ru.
“The ethylene produced by Iranian petrochemical plants will soon be in sufficient quantity to supply the domestic market and the growth of its production is destined for export,” — said the Director of projects National petrochemical company (NPC) Ali Mohammad Bacsacsaba.
As for the sharp increase in the supply of raw materials through the full operation of the phases of the gas field “South Pars”, all plants operating in Assaluya, in southern Iran, announced an increase in production by 15-20%, the official said.
“Next year, ethylene production in the country will exceed its consumption, and the surplus of ethylene will be sent for export,” he added.
