Another polypropylene plant can be stopped in Siberia

Siberian office of Rostekhnadzor filed an application to the Arbitration court of Omsk region to LLC ” Omsk polypropylene plant “(Poliom) to bring to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 9.5 of the administrative Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the established order of construction, reconstruction, overhaul of the capital construction project, putting it into operation”), reports today the regional portal” Superomsk ” with reference to the court materials.

The maximum sanction under this article provides for a fine of up to 1 million rubles or administrative suspension of activities for up to 90 days. However, the lawsuit was preceded by a series of three on-site (late 2018) scheduled inspections of the plant “Poliom” by the auditors of Rostekhnadzor. As a result, 11 violations were declared, a number of them – in the field of mandatory requirements of industrial safety of hazardous production facilities.

It should be noted that the main activity of LLC “Poliom” is the production of plastics and synthetic resins in primary forms, namely polypropylene of various brands. The company is registered in Omsk and has two structures in co-founders: the Cyprus Lengvillee Limited and JSC Sibgazpolimer (is included in PJSC SIBUR holding). The company itself identifies itself as a joint venture of three holdings – “Titan”, “Gazpromneft” and SIBUR. It was GC “Titan” led the construction of the plant “Poliom”.

Note that according to sources, “Postexport” problems with the production of polypropylene is one of the founders of “Poliom” SIBUR. We are talking about the largest site for the production of polyolefins “SIBUR-Tobolsk” today, which, according to sources in the industry, was stopped for unknown reasons.
