Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd ( HP) plans to launch a plant for the production of high and low density polyethylene (HDPE/LLDPE), located on the territory of the petrochemical complex in the Indian state of West Bengal, in the shortest possible time. As reported by the source of Polymerupdate in India, the plant is likely to be restarted at the end of April 2017 after an unplanned power outage. At the end of February 2017, the company faced technical problems in the production line of LLDPE. Located in Haldia city in East India in West Bengal state, the petrochemical complex can produce 700,000 tons/year of ethylene, 350,000 tons/year of propylene and provide raw materials in the amount of 330000 tons/year of high density polyethylene, 370000 tons/year of low density polyethylene and 350000 tons/year of polypropylene.
